G6 30kW TURRET POWER UNIT (TPU), 18kW AIRCON SYSTEM & CBRN

A modular bolt-on power pack with a 30kW 4-Cylinder Deutz engine fitted with a 28VDC 400A alternator. (25kW derated @ 2700rpm in 55°C Ambient)
- Supplies 28VDC, 400A to charge the 6 TPU and vehicle batteries or supply the total electrical requirement of the turret. This includes the DC Gun Control Motor, WMS system and supply aircon electric power without starting the vehicle main engine.
- Mechanical belts drive the two 9kW Aircon compressors.
- The TPU is fully automated with its own electric start, and onboard 100litre fuel tank.
The electrical connections, looms between the aircon, power units, electronic control panels and electrical control gear are designed and selected for operation in military environments, which include adverse temperatures, EMI/EMC as well as severe shock and vibration. The power unit is equipped with a custom designed electronic controller, capable of all control and safety functions, comprehensive BIT and power management
The air conditioning system has two belt driven 9kW compressors in tandem with an integrated 20 litre cold water chiller. The system also has a CBRN filtration module with servo valve remote switch over.
