General Product Description

The Relay Communication Trailer is engineered explicitly for deployment in mining environments to enhance the coverage of diverse radio communication networks. These trailers are frequently subject to vandalism, which adversely affects the efficacy of the communication networks. Various models, including Relay and Boom Gate variants, have been developed and produced by SME. SME customizes the manufacturing of these communication trailers according to client specifications. The trailer consist of multi-terrain functionality and can function in regulated terrain such as desert sand dunes, mud, badly rutted tracks, river crossings, rocky tracks, gullies, ridges, salt pan mud, sand and tar roads. The trailer is manufactured to comply with road-worthy standards and mining safety regulations.

General Dimensional Information

The trailer is designed to have a tipping point of 30° and has an overall length of 4.876 meters, with a width of 2.492 meters and consists of a height of 2.568 meters upon transportation stage. The total weight of the trailer is 1.6 ton.

Mechanical Operating Information

The trailer includes the speciliazed design trailer body, communication mast, camera mast, solar panel frame, battery cabinets. The trailer is fitted with individual rubbaride suspension system that can provide a load bearing capacity of 2000kg. The camara and communication mast are mechanical winch operated and can deploy 3meters and 6meters, respectively. The solar panel frame is manufactured to be adjusted in increments of 22.5° to allow for maximum sunlight exposure.
